Thank you Alagie for starting this discussion. I just wanted to add a few of my thoughts to the discussion. As an accredited ALS within ICANN, we have a voice as ISOC Gambia at the table when it comes to developing internet policy. We are now seen as representatives of the End Users in The Gambia when it comes to internet policy. we therefore need to engage in the discussion. <br><br>ICANN is a platform that takes into account the different users around the world and as a result opens up all its meetings to anyone that is interested. The platforms of discussions are in the form of teleconferences, webinars and face to face meetings. <br><br>As an accredited ALS in the Africa Region, our first teleconference is coming up on the 7 february. I would like to urge all members to attend. If you do not have access to internet during the conference call, you can email the staff at <span><a href="mailto:staff@atlarge.icann.org" target="_blank">staff@atlarge.icann.org</a> and request a dial out (for them to call you on your number of choice )
so you can participate in the conference call. This will be at no cost to you.<br><br>I will forward the call details following this email. <br><br>Thank you all and hope to see you on the call. <br><br>As Alagie intimated in his email, we will be organizing a Read Out (where we will discuss Internet Policy, the ICANN Ecosystem and how we fit into all of this).
