Hi Fatou,
The error comes about when you change the shell to a shell that has not been installed yet. Before running that command, make sure that bash is installed. I have reset it to the previous shell (/bin/csh)
Regards
Kevin

Hi all,
You will get an error when
you try to change the hostname on your Virtual Machine. That
is a limitation on the virtualization platform and you can
safely ignore the error and proceed
Thanks

Hi Aji,
You can select the default
options by pressing the “enter” key. Alternatively, you
can install with the following option which will pick all
the default options for you
#make -DBATCH install

Hi Yaharr,
This is showing that there is an error in
/etc/make.conf
Please check the file and make sure that there are no spaces
between the commands. For example:
WITH PKGNG=yes should be WITH_PKGNG=yes
Note the underscore between “WITH” and
“PKGNG”

Hello everyone, Kevin will be moderating the labs instead.
We have 3weeks to complete labs by 17th
November.
Dont hesitate to send all your errors here as you proceed
with the labs.
With the remote servers, it is easier for Kevin to locate
your errors and help.

Greetings everyone,
I am Kevin Chege from ISOC and will be helping Alagie and
Anne with moderation of the course.
I would like to share information on how you can access the
online lab for use with the course. The online lab is mainly
provided to make it easier for you to complete the course
and run the hands on parts of the course.
You can access the lab as follows:
URL: https://lab.nog-oc.org/email@
address.com/
Replace the final part “email at address.com” with your own email
address. You must put the final slash at the end of your
email address otherwise the URL will not
open.
Username: afnog
Password: admin
You will be asked to change your email address and password
the first time you try and access your Virtual machine. To
learn more about the lab and the course in general, you can
visit this URL:
https://isoc-inforum.afrinic.
net/wiki
Do let me know if you have any challenges by replying to
this email. Please copy the entire list so that others will
see how problems are solved
Thanks
Kevin
