[GamChix] GAMCHIX_UTG-ITCA Mentorship and Collaboration Program

Dear All,

I hope this email finds you all well and are all having a pleasant week
thus far?

A big thank you to all those who attended last Sunday`s meeting. I believe
it was a very productive meeting and those who could not attend for one
reason or another will realize it when the minutes are sent.

During the meeting, one of the major points raised was to start organizing
programs/activities that way we can be more "marketable" or accepted by
other organizations for future collaborations.

One of the best ways of doing this, as it was mentioned in the meeting, is
to organize symposiums, talks,mentor-ship programs. etc. at schools,the
University and the like.

Luckily for us, we have amongst us the current president of the UTG-ITCA
(Fatou Ceesay) who has informed us that the UTG is having new intakes in
the school and she is willing to educate them about GAMCHIX during the
orientation. i believe her being a member of both organizations will make
this process a seamless one. (*see her email below*).

@ Fatou Ceesay, you have the green-light to talk to the students about
GAMCHIX and what we are about. I can assure you that you have the full
support of the group as i am positive that they will all agree with me that
it is a good initiative to work with the Computer Science Association of
UTG (ITCA).

That being said, i suggest we create a working group(sub-committee under
PAC & PRO) that will work with her on this. It will be great to have
volunteers to assist with this and make it become a reality as our first
project.
